Fall Surf Outing Results

14 members registered and fished for bragging rights. Full moon and a fall high tide made negotiating the beach a bit of a challenge. But the tide soon started to retreat and it wasn't long before fish were starting to be weighed in.
Patty Rucker amazed us all with a rainbow slam of Redfish, Bluefish, Whiting, and Black drum along with a nice spotted sea trout for good measure.
Barbara Anderson took top prize with a 22 inch, 3 pound 7 ounce, Redfish.
Jerry Eiserman won best fish story when what we assume was a passing whale, bent his rod holder in half before yanking the rod out to sea. If that wasn't enough of a story, he later snagged the same rod and reeled it back in. So all was not lost and offending whale escaped without further incident.
